#throwback My first time wearing lashes. It took m #throwback My first time wearing lashes. It took me a while to even open my eyes after the makeup artist fixed them. And after I could open them, my eyes were red for a while. 🤣

When we start or attempt something for the first time, it takes a while for our bodies to adjust. After our bodies adjust, the discomfort eases. 

Registration for the KHL May 2023 Fitness Challenge is now open. 

The challenge runs through the month of May. It’s a fun and very rewarding challenge to do. 
It’s open to men and women of ALL ages.

I mentioned that I’ve reached a point in my life I mentioned that I’ve reached a point in my life when I don’t do much thinking with regards to keeping fit because I’m like a robot programmed to just keep doing it. 

Every 6 weeks to 2-3 months, I might switch things up a bit for the sake of progression or variety but that’s it. 

I’m programmed to just keep going. If I don’t like the music, mine comes on. 
Actually, my music is always on during my first cycling session on a Monday because the instructor’s music doesn’t motivate me. 

I guess that’s a glitch in my programming or I’m human after all.🤣🤣

Anyways, yesterdays music was quite good so I kept mine very low. It was so good he even had an Afro beat tract. So I told him….”more Afro beats please”. 

I also told him that, yeah I’m over 50, however I don’t want to ride to 70’s music because I’m still young. 😜

Two things come to mind when I look at this picture. 
1) How  I feel - exhilarated 😅
2) How I look - alien from this angle 😱

Is there anything in life that doesn’t require some sort of skill? 

At middle age or over 50, it’s important to become skilled at making the right food choices, exercising your mind and body on a regular basis for your health.

Having the mindset to do the important things is a skill. It’s that skill that’ll get you up and out when you don’t feel like, or to choose vegetables over biscuits when you know you haven’t got the balance right all week.

the skill of operating in autopilot mode. This gets me up and out of the house in the morning before I even get a chance to contemplate how I feel.
